Seafarers designated to take charge of medical care on board ship and for those requiring certificates of competency.
On completion students will have sufficient knowledge of medical stores and equipment on board to be able to lead provision of medical care to persons sick or injured on-board ship where help is not close at hand.
This course meets the requirements of STCW Section A-VI/4.2 (Table A-VI/4.2).
