Accommodation

The New Zealand Maritime School doesn't provide accommodation; however, we can assist by providing information on local accommodation options.

You may wish to stay with a family in homestay accommodation or in a serviced apartment, motel or hostel, or you can rent a room in a house or apartment.  It is less expensive to stay further out of the central city, but you will then have transport costs to consider.

Many of our students share accommodation and our staff are happy to discuss your accommodation options with you.

The nearest accommodation for seafarers is the Sailors' Home which is housed in the Oaks Residence in Fort Street, a few minutes' walk from the school.
